SeventyOne Magazine Internship.

Seventy One Magazine requires a intern to assist with Editorial and Web content. The successful applicant must be enthusiastic about bodyboarding, and also have a good understanding of the web. This role will focus largely on helping the current editorial and design staff in all aspects of the magazine’s production, as well as to help to maintain and run the seventy one website. This is a great first step in a potential career in both the Bodyboarding and publishing industries. University education preferred though not essential. Design and editorial skills advantageous.

Under the Internship you will learn the following aspects of publishing.

• Sub-edit and proof read copy
• Marketing
• Social networking
• Upload daily features on SeventyOne website.
• Develop relationships with contributors and chase up commissioned work.
• Graphic Design Skills using Adobe Creative Suite
• Web design skills using various web design packages
  

This position will be 2-3 days a week for 3-6 months which is flexible depending on availability. The office is based at Burleigh heads, across from the beach and surfing at lunch time is part of the job.

This position may lead to a full time job in the future.
