Years Shooting I shot video for a long time but I’ve been shooting photos for around 10 years!
Favourite Riders There’s an endless list, but it would be highlighted by Brad Hughes, Chad Jackson and Mitch Rawlins. WA is a breeding ground for strong willed body boarders so I get stoked on shooting anyone wanting to have a crack!
Favourite Location WA is god’s country. The Right, The Left, Mitchells, Boodj, Box, Mandurah Wedge, Tombstones, Cannons and 3rd Groyne are only a handful of the world class waves within half a day’s drive from our doorstep. I wouldn’t choose to be anywhere else!
Favourite Shot I don’t have one, I still believe that my best is yet to come!
Equipment I’ve always used Nikon and try to stay within a budget cause it can get pretty loose. I use D200 & D300s bodies and I pretty much have most lenses between a 10.5mm fisheye and a 300mm 2.8! I obviously use water housings but i’m not going to drop a brand name because they give me the shits! I also rock a pretty cool flash setup and a “maxi-pod” but i’m not about to divulge that information either.
Insirations What inspires me most is the passion of the guys that I shoot with. If you can’t get pumped about body boarding when you get to work with the likes of Hughes, Chaddy, Hardy, Whitey and Rawlins, then there is no hope for you, you poor lost sole. I’m not a religious man, but i’ve been pretty blessed to grow up with these guys around me and to see how hard they push their minds and bodies to achieve what they have has definitely inspired me!
Shoutouts All the WA riders, media, groms and industry crew! You’re all legends, well except for a couple of you. You know who you are you jerks!
